Róisin Lafferty unveils the Sphere Dining Table, a collectible limited-edition collection crafted from rare Breccia Acquasanta marble and produced in an edition of just five pieces. Exclusively available at Róisin Lafferty Gallery, the collection represents a defining expression of Lafferty’s design philosophy and a significant evolution in her work as a furniture designer.
Sphere is rooted in the idea of the eternal feminine. It explores one of the simplest yet most complex of forms, reflecting the universe and the endless cycles that shape our lives. Representing the form of the earth and carved from the earth itself, Sphere brings together design, engineering and world-class craftsmanship in pursuit of balance, beauty and perfection of form.
Stone is traditionally perceived as heavy, sharp and cold. Through Sphere, Lafferty sought to present it as she sees it: soft, malleable, beautiful and tactile. This intention is amplified through the choice of Breccia Acquasanta marble, a rare and expressive stone characterized by rose and dusty pink tones. Its natural variation ensures that each piece within the collection is entirely unique, reinforcing its status as a collectible object.
For Lafferty, this first furniture collection needed to embody her long-standing love of detail, natural stone and timelessness. The central challenge was to disguise all fixings, supports and structural engineering in order to create a piece that appears to float effortlessly in space.
SPHERE COLLECTION – THE DINING TABLE
A full marble sphere anchors the design, supporting a wafer-thin elliptical tabletop that cantilevers with apparent ease. Beneath its refined surface lies a concealed system of precisely engineered structure and counterbalance, allowing the form to remain pure, calm and uninterrupted.

The realization of the Sphere Dining Table was achieved in close collaboration with Miller Brothers Stone, whose exceptional craftsmanship and technical expertise were essential in bringing the design to life. Their attention to detail is evident throughout, from the precision of the engineering to the subtlety of the finish.
Produced in an edition of five, the Sphere Dining Table is individually crafted, signed and numbered.
